The answer

What is love? This question has been asked so many times and yet everyone you may have asked have most likely had a completely different answer. In truth, love is just a word. It’s a word every single person defines on their own. It’s an abstraction and just as with many other emotions, no one can really claim to know the single true meaning of it. Continue reading

The best dating advice you’ll ever read

Today I found myself thinking about relationships and more precisely – relationship/dating advice. It seems that everyone on the dating scene these days is obsessed with what they should and shouldn’t do in order to attract/keep a partner. It’s enough to look at the articles flooding glossy magazines or visit a self-help/psychology books section in the nearest library. The tempting titles promise to teach you what and when to say, what to write in a text message after the first date, how to spend the dates, what to wear, how to gaze at the person, when and how to initiate a sexual intercourse. The myriad of bestselling book titles will range from “Dating Guru’s 101 Conversation Starters” to “The New Rules for Love, Sex, and Dating”. Continue reading

Are you still stuck in the misconceptions about love?

Today I have one long quote for you. I think it’s really worth reading and thinking about. Especially, that love is misinterpreted so often everywhere around us and I believe it to be one of the main reasons why that many people in the modern societies end up feeling unhappy and frustrated with life. Christina Aguilera – The Voice Within

Today’s music inspiration is very special. Hardly ever do we find a song expressing so much truth and value any more.

Christina Aguilera’s ‘The Voice Within’ is a song I used to like a lot as a child. It moved me deeply by its sadness but back then I didn’t quite understand or realize what it was actually about. If I did, perhaps I would have saved myself a few tears and bad decisions… Continue reading

What to do when your life sucks

Today, while having my gym session, I was thinking how way too often I hear people around me saying things like ‘I’m so fat’, ‘My life sucks’, ‘I never have money for anything’, ‘People don’t like me’, ‘Old ladies and teenagers have a better sex life than me’, ‘I can’t change’, ‘It’s too difficult’, ‘I hate my job’ and so on and so on. For me, all of these statements fall into one huge category called ‘complaining’. Seriously people, I don’t mean to offend anyone but it seems that somehow we have become a generation which expects a lot and yet is not particularly willing to put much effort in it. We want things to happen to us just like that, for free. The thing is, it doesn’t work this way. If you want to change something, then stop complaining and do something about it. Continue reading

True happiness lies within…

Every once in a while each of us encounters those special words on our way. It might be one sentence or a few, but it has an extremely powerful impact on us and can provoke a massive shift in thinking. Often, these words come to you when you least expect them, from a place where you would least expect them to appear. Not a long time ago, I’ve encountered this kind of quote in a song of Chrysta Bell and David Lynch. It’s about searching for happiness within yourself instead of the outside world. I find it really true for myself.

Observer

Here’s a piece of my original poetry for your enjoyment! This is a poem about seeing beauty in every single detail of the world surrounding you, enjoying life with every sense. If you look at the world lovingly, the world will respond in the same way! Remember, what you give is what you get. This especially applies to the energy we send out ourselves.

Look around! The beauty is all around you. You just need to observe more carefully 😉

Snoop Lion – The Good Good

One of the secrets to keep being positive and happy in life is to surround yourself with positive things. One of these could be the music you listen to. If it sends a good message and makes you feel better right from the start of the day, your mind will keep your focus on the bright sides of any situation you come across. So here is my first suggestion with the lyrics.

It’s a song by Snoop Dogg, who has changed his stage name to Snoop Lion after the huge transformation in his life. Now he’s all about love and peace and although many people criticize him for that, I personally think that we should admire him. All the positive messages he’s now sending out to the world make me start believing in humanity once again.

“The Good Good” is a song with both a positive melody which makes you feel, well, good, and also the lyrics which are about appreciating the presence and the love of the people in our lives. Keep it up, Snoop!

“Fear makes strangers of people who would be friends” – Shirley Maclaine

There are many things we fear in life. Every single day, we face fear of doing something because we’re afraid of what people would think about us or of approaching a person we like, because of the potential rejection. Many of us even fear that an accident might happen every time we or our family/friends get into a plane or a car. It’s so hard for us to presume that nothing bad will happen even though most of the time things that we fear never happen at all. How much time and energy could be saved if we stopped fearing and presumed that everything will simply turn out great? Continue reading
