When I look out the window on the gloomy autumn days, I often catch myself getting melancholic and sad. There’s just something depressing about the rain and the lack of sunshine. However, luckily there are some ways that can instantly cheer up even the most prone to getting depressed souls.
One of my favorite ideas is making an album with photos from all the good times you had: holidays, parties, concerts… Also, including the funny ones that will make you smile straight away, even those silly ones when you just made funny faces to the camera with your friends!
It’s so sad that in this era of the increasingly digital world, fewer and fewer people actually get the photos in print. Personally, I think it makes a huge difference if you can actually take an album to your hands. It’s the same with books. The fact of being able to simply touch the paper makes the whole process so much more charming.
So, if you suffer from autumn depressions yourself, go ahead and make your own album with your favorite photos or even better, attach them to a wall or closet so that everytime you look at it, they’ll remind you of how fun your life can be. In an album, you can put them chronologically, just two or three pictures from each event. This way, you’ll find that every time you thought that the moment was so great that nothing could ever beat it, you can just turn the page in the album to see that actually there were plenty of fun times that followed it! As Dr Seuss said “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”!
